Peg Wooden doll from the Grodner Tal region of Europe. This is in the southern Bavarian/Austrian/northern Italian alps. It is a region that made these wooden dolls in mass quantities for the world market late in the 1800's. They were always somewhat crudly made but much loved dolls.
